WHO WE ARE
Living Table United Church of Christ is boldly inclusive!
Living Table is a community of people who are on a spiritual journey. We seek to follow the radical teachings of Jesus that focus on liberation and justice for all peoples. We have a diversity of perspectives on who Jesus is and was, but we are committed to embodying the love he taught, love of neighbor and self that is unconditional.
We are a group of believers, seekers, followers, and skeptics. We firmly believe that all people have a place at God’s table. Therefore, each Sunday we celebrate that...

This welcome fills our Living Table.
We are a part of an on-going story of faith! As the offspring of Spirit of the Lakes and Minnehaha UCC, we carry forth Spirit’s legacy as the first LGBTQ church to join a mainstream denomination and Minnehaha’s progressive witness in the neighborhood. We are in covenant with the United Church of Christ. Living Table is an energetic community of diverse people committed to embodying Christ's boldly inclusive love. |
Our desire is to be a spiritual community that provides a safe place for people of conscience to worship, live in truth, question and seek, challenge the status quo, find wholeness and become more fully alive. We seek to be “Boldly Inclusive” inside the walls of Living Table and outside in a world that is in need of authentic community.
We want to embody the Spirit that Jesus exemplified as he spent his time caring for those who suffered and lived in the margins, held religious and political leaders accountable and demonstrated and taught people of his day, and our day, about God’s unconditional love. Jesus invited his followers to live a faith that was not about believing the “right” things, but about encouraging each human heart to choose love…love of God, love of neighbor and love of self. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single or partnered, happy or sad, confused or inspired, street smart or college-educated, whether you can’t pay your bills or have more than enough to share, whether you are conservative or liberal, questioning or believing. . .no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are invited to journey with us! |
