OUR ALLIES
T.A.G.The Trans-Action Group (TAG) is a group of transgender individuals who originally started as a therapy group at the Veteran's Administration in Minneapolis. Though it started as a group of veterans, that has changed. The group is open to anyone who identifies as transgender or has questions about being transgender. TAG is made up of people ages 18 to 70+. This is a warm and welcoming group.
TAG meets every other Tuesday at 6 pm. Minnehaha Food ShelfThe Minnehaha Food Shelf is important to us. Almost every week, we receive money or food to take to the food shelf. Please contribute by donating money or bringing food on Sunday morning, during office hours, or whenever you come by the church, and leaving it in the labeled bin at the top of the stairs.
If you like, you can take the purple bags on the coat rack near the bins home to carry your food back. Slutwalk Minneapolis Slutwalk is an international movement to protest against rape culture. The protest takes the form of a walk in early October and advocacy year round. Slutwalk Minneapolis works to end stereotypical thinking, promote active consent, and secure the safety of all people. You can find them on Facebook or at their website http://www.slutwalkminneapolis.org.
Slutwalk Minneapolis meets monthly in the basement kitchen area. |
